Post secondary education in the fields of Information Systems, Business Analysis, or an equivalent combination of formal education, training and related experience may be considered
Experience gathering and documenting business requirements and working with technology suppliers to develop and implement a solution that meets those requirements
Experience in the areas of technical support and networking
Proficiency in the use of various computer programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Strong interpersonal skills
Effective verbal communication skills
Effective written communication skills
Experience in Web Publishing
Experience in the development and administration of SharePoint sites
The Business Analyst will function in a technical capacity and is responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements and working with technology suppliers (primarily the Business Transformation and Technology department) to develop and implement solutions. The incumbent is responsible for reviewing, approving and providing advice on desktop related technology requests that originate from the different business areas throughout Manitoba Justice. The selected individual provides a wide variety of end user support to the various users throughout Manitoba Justice, is responsible for managing the Justice SharePoint site, and provides backup support in the area of web publishing.
