Adult Learning Centre

DUTIES

Reporting to the Education Director of the Adult Learning Centre, the teacher is required to develop and

deliver mathematics courses in the Adult Learning Centre program located on the Notre Dame Campus.

The incumbent is expected to follow the Department of Education Curriculum Guidelines; conduct student

assessment; maintain accurate course records; effectively manage classroom activities; and perform

related administrative responsibilities as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must hold a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate
  • Significant experience teaching mathematical literacy and high school mathematics
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications including: Word, Excel, Power Point and
Outlook

  • Experience integrating technology in teaching and the ability to adapt to new technology
  • Ability to incorporate various online delivery strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive student and staff relationships
  • Demonstrated skills in using effective and current teaching methodology
  • Experience using conflict resolution techniques t facilitate positive outcomes
