Field Technician – Restoration


As an Emergency Field Technician, you will work daily with a team to respond to property and contents affected by fire, water, and mold. You will be responsible stabilizing, cleaning, and placing drying equipment in preparation for restoration. In this role, you will provide high-quality customer service and respond to related emergencies in residential homes and commercial properties following all Health and Safety Policies and Procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

* Cleaning and sanitizing structures affected by fire, water, mold, sewer back up and asbestos 
* Extracting water from flooded properties
* Performing controlled demolition of wet building materials (drywall, carpet, ceilings, cabinets)
* Setting up drying equipment on-site to reducing drying time and eliminate the risk of mold development
* Processing list and pack affected content 
* Answer property owners’ questions or concerns
* Communicating with team members of all levels
* Working in various on-site conditions (dusty, smoke damaged, confined spaces etc.)
* A valid driver’s license and ability to provide a driver’s abstract
* A clean criminal record
* Knowledge of how to use mobile devices and computer software programs 
* Strong communication, organizational and time management skills
* Physically fit; capability to lift 60lbs or more
* Ability to wear a respirator and male candidates must be clean-shaven 
* Flexibility to work an on-call schedule
* Comfortable working with mold and asbestos (training provided)
* IICRC certification and forklift experience is an asset
* Restoration or construction experience is an asset

* $14.00 – $16.00 per hour depending on experience
* Benefits after 6 months
* Ability to work 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM and be part of an on-call rotation (overtime when required)
