Under the direction of the Manager, Manitoba FASD Centre and The Manager of Clinics demonstrating a commitment to the mission, values and management philosophy of SSCY, RCC and The FASD Centre the Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist is responsible for:
Providing quality occupational therapy services including assessment, intervention, program planning and implementation, follow-up and provides education to students, other health care professionals and within the community.
The Clinical Specialist provides expert consultation and guidance to staff in the area of specialty through clinical leadership, mentoring, education, evaluation and research. The Clinical Specialist contributes to the delivery of quality specialty services by examining, developing, refining and evaluating the specialty body of knowledge and care practices.
Entry to practice academic credential in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program or approved equivalent if internationally educated as determined by the College of Occupational Therapists (COTM) Registered with COTM
Successful completion of relevant professional education in designated clinical area for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) required.
Minimum 3 years of recent, clinical experience of which one year must be in the specialty area of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.
